Abstract

Beyond the Circular Economy, we need it to become a ‘global paradigm’ of strategic thinking for everyone, companies, citizens and decision-makers. The tourism sector is one of those that has suffered an unprecedented impact and advancing its circularization is an urgent need. We carry out a historical review to demonstrate the importance of managing transitions well whenever there are changes in models, it shows how the economy and the circular society requires changes and offers opportunities at the micro, meso and macro levels; to propose a set of recommendations and conclusions that enables a fairer transition.
