Methodology: For the development and creation of the unit, a process has been carried out with the following phases: detection of the care and management need. Evaluation of existing resources and the demand for care activity. Development of care, teaching, management and research functions, objectives of the unit, human and material equipment, and scope of action. Preparation of the activation and interconsultation procedure. Creation of electronic records in information systems. Inclusion criteria. Evaluation indicators. Main results: a Perfusion Nursing Unit has been created, as a reference in the implementation, maintenance, control, and withdrawal of Artificial Circulation Techniques derived from any medical-surgical procedure that requires them, including the transplant team.
