Abstract

Aventúrate is the first program that uses Adventure Therapy (AT) with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Spain. A total of 15 young people participated in a 7-day program that combines group and individual therapy, as well as various outdoor activities. The objective of this study is to verify the effectiveness of this intervention. Results show an effect size ranging from small to moderate, with more relevant improvements in self-esteem, peer attachment and emotional repair.
