Résumé

Social Control and Imaginary in Current TV Series studies the relationship between series and the construction of identity in the show business era. The work brings together, in eighteen chapters organized in three blocks, the analysis of about twenty major current series. The surveillance of the modern state, the ideological and technological mechanisms used to bias behavior, the perpetuation of new family and ethical models, the hypersexuality or the state of politics are some of the elements studied in this work that sheds light on a phenomenon of indisputable success of our days: TV series.
