Abstract
We present the case of an endodontic treatment in a lower bicuspid that failed five years later because of a endo-periodontal problem caused by a radicular groove located in the concavity of a C-shaped canal. In the consulted bibliography, we observe that the endo-periodontal failures caused by a groove in the root are well-described in maxillary lateral incisors, but not in lower molars or bicuspids with a C-shaped canal. This possibility should be remembered while encountering the above mentioned anatomical variation.
