Abstract
This article aims to highlight the possible excesses of exercising the right of demonstration when produced the called 'escraches' just in front of the homes of politicians and public representatives. The new stage of the economic crisis is leading to a deterioration in the citizens feelings about the political class. Lack of trust and feelings of abandonment, which makes them to channel many of the frustrations and difficult situations toward the political class, considering culprit in many cases of their ills. The rejection is shown through acts as so-called 'escraches' which besides trying to embarrass the politician, it tries to bother and get notoriety for their protest purposes. But these actions are not considering that politicians also enjoy constitutional protection: the right to privacy recognized by Article 18 of our Constitution. And even though their rights under this article are limited in case of public representatives, does not that mean that they have been deprived of this right. So politicians have legal remedies to combat those possible illegal interferences, although civil proceeding seems a better solution than the criminal
