Abstract

We present the case of a patient with a non-vital tooth, presenting an open apex and a periapical radiolucency in which, for certain reasons, the root canal could not be prepared with files. For this reason, the therapeutic action had to be solely performed by an exhaustive irrigation of the inside of the canal with sodium hypochlorite and its provisional filling with calcium hydroxide. Once the apical barrier had been formed, the final obturation was performed with gutta-percha.
