Abstract
Vocational and continuing training has evolved throughout history, increasing their weight as humanity has progressed economically and socially, readjusting its meaning, content and objectives. In order to describe the course of this training, from its origins until today, know and understand their historical evolution and current integration and future prospects. Knowing well, where the current continuing education is to know today what is meant by it. The study begins with a literature review, implemented an analytic-deductive method, giving body to historical research pursued. The findings and conclusions certify that evolution in concept and organization, certify adaptation to the needs of the labor market in each historical moment, besides revealing a conception of completeness that allows this adjustment and currently gets, adapt to a village overall subject to rapid change, requiring a permanent training throughout life, with a more aging society, which needs increasingly extend their working time, delaying the retirement age and depending, of a formation that recualifique and keep in the vanguard workers of all ages.
